Luis Suarez in an interview has said how he wanted to “disappear from the world” after the Anfield defeat.

“It was a childish mistake for Liverpool’s winning goal,” Suarez told speaking to FOX Sports. “We were in shock, but that goes beyond the last goal.

“We knew that if we made an error we would be very embarrassed, but I never imagined that it was over.

“It was one of the worst moments in my career. I wanted to disappear from the world, from social networks, I was sad, I could not laugh with my children. I did not want anything.”

Lionel Messi has also spoken about how the Liverpool defeat still haunts him. Barcelona captain was also reported to be in tears after their defeat at Liverpool.

Liverpool won the semi-final tie by 4-3 against Barcelona and won the Champions League final in Madrid by beating Tottenham by 2-0.
