Spurs submit €60m bid for Betis playmaker Giovani Lo Celso

Tottenham Hotspur has reportedly submitted a bid believed to be around €60m for Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso. Spurs play Liverpool in UEFA Champions League final on 1 June in Madrid.

Daniel Levy has believed to have identified his targets and wants to sign them early in the transfer window. Giovani Lo Celso is one of the top targets for Spurs this summer.

Giovani Lo Celso joined Real Betis last summer on-loan. Although, Real Betis had an option to make the loan permanent and triggered their option. Lo Celso cost Real Betis €22m, when he joined in April.

According to reports, Tottenham has submitted a bid for Giovani Lo Celso. The Real Betis midfielder has also been rumoured to be on Manchester United’s radar. They were reported to have contacted Real Betis regarding the availability of their prized asset.

However, Daniel Levy has acted quickly to sign Spurs first player in 18 months. Although Real Betis is expected to reject the bid for their midfielder.

According to BBC Sport, Lo Celso has a release clause of €100m. Real Betis is expected to accept a transfer fee near to his release clause and will reject Tottenham’s first offer.

Giovani Lo Celso

He has been a key player for Real Betis in 2018-19 season. In the 44 games he played this season, Lo Celso scored 16 goals for Real Betis in both Europe and Spain. Along with the goals, Lo Celso has also contributed with 5 assists.

He averaged 1.9 dribbles, 1 key pass and 1.4 long pass per game in 2018-19. He had a pass success rate of 84% in the 2973 minutes he played.

Lo Celso primarily play as a center midfielder or an attacking midfielder but he has also played as a forward for Real Betis this season.
