Manchester United was held to a disappointing 1-1 draw at Huddersfield on Sunday afternoon, with the visitors’ hopes of a top-four finish now extinguished.

With one game of the season left, it is now mathematically impossible for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men to finish in the top four.

Here are the Player ratings for Huddersfield vs Manchester United game.


Jonas Lossl (GK) – 6

Lossl was at fault for the only goal Huddersfield conceded. But, later on, redeemed himself with a couple of World Class saves. Also assisted Mbenza for the goal

Erik Durm (RB) – 5

Subbed off after just 45 minutes. Struggled to make a mark on the game,
slow in possession and always looked to be struggling to get into the right position.

Christopher Schindler (CB) – 6.5

Solid performance, was dominant in the air winning 4 aerial duals according to stats.


Terence Kongolo (CB) – 6

Did well to keep the United strikers quiet, won 2 aerial duals with a pass accuracy of 74%

Chris Lowe (LB) – 6

Provided a regular attacking outlet on the left, but his influence on the game waned notably in the second period.

Aaron Mooy (MC) – 6.5

The Aussie had a 79% pass accuracy. With Huddersfield already relegated there will be surely some Premier League clubs vying for the midfielders signature.

Juninho Bacuna (MC) – 6

Had 3 shots on target, was a constant menace for the Manchester United defenders.

Jonathan Hogg (MC) – 7

The experienced Englishman had a pass accuracy of 84% which was more than any other Huddersfield player.

Isaac Mbenza (RW) – 7

Scored the all-important goal which confirmed that Manchester United won’t be playing next years Champions League football.

Was constantly on the ball, Pritchard had 50 touches of the ball which was more than his midfield teammate Aaron Mooy

Karlan Grant (ST) – 6

Fired 3 shots at De Gea out of which 2 were on target, missed a one on one with the Manchester United goalie too.

Came on for Erik Dorm after 45 min. Solid performance, didn’t let the pressure get to him.

David de Gea (GK) – 6

Made a bright save with his feet in the first half but his weakness in one-on-ones was once again exposed by Huddersfield’s goal.

Ashley Young (RB) – 4

As the captain of the club showed on leadership, did not vindicate his selection over Diogo Dalot

Victor Lindelof (CB) – 6

Had a relatively solid game, had the chance to bring the ball out of defence a number of times.

Phil Jones (CB) – 4

Missed an absolute sitter, almost gifted Huddersfield an unlikely equaliser with his reckless pass from the back.

Luke Shaw (LB) – 5

Poor game for Luke Shaw was at fault for the goal. Had little to no impact while going forward.

Nemanja Matic (CDM) – 4

Did not move the ball quick enough, United could have done with Ander Herrera.

Scott McTominay (CM) – 7

Scored the goal, Had 4 shots out of which 2 were on target and 1 went in.

Paul Pogba (CM) – 5.5

Not good enough by the Frenchman’s standards. Dictated the play easily enough but so ineffective in the final third.

Juan Mata (CAM) – 5.5

Begun the game well, moving the ball around smartly, but his influence on the game waned notably in the second period.

Alexis Sanchez (ST) – 4

Was substituted after 53 min due to an injury. Showed no fight or desire for the club

Marcus Rashford (ST) – 3

Should have been dropped some time ago. The youngster’s fitness is poor and his sharpness has deserted him. Needs a break.

Tahith Chong (RW) – 5 (Sub)

Showed urgency, got forward tried to make things happen

Ander Herrera (CDM) – 6 (Sub)

Showed passion and fight for the club

Diego Dalot (RB) – Late Sub
