Kings XI Punjab vs Rajasthan Royals: Match Preview

Posted by

IPL’s match number 32 will see Kings XI Punjab take on Rajasthan Royals in Mohali.

Remember what happened last time when these two teams met? No? Mankad incident. Jos Buttler got run out by Ravichandran Ashwin who stopped in between his bowling action to run out Buttler at the non-striker’s end.

Kings XI Punjab – WLWLL

Punjab has lost three of their last five games. They lost their last game to Royal Challengers Bangalore, becoming the first team to lose against Kohli’s men. Second game running their bowlers failed to defend a 170+ total. Especially the pacers have let the team down in the recent games.

Rajasthan Royals – LWLLW

Royals just like their opponents have lost three of their last five games. They did manage to win their last game, only second win of the season for the Royals. Jos Buttler played an important role in the win against Mumbai in the last match. The pitch in Mohali is a good batting track as well that will suit him.

Key Player

Chris Gayle (KXIP)

Gayle would like to take on Rajasthan’s bowling line-up. He will be a key player for Punjab. Especially at Mohali’s batting friendly track. Though Gowtham has troubled him in the past, he would look to target Kulkarni and Unadkat.

Jos Buttler (RR)

He has proved to be Rajasthan’s most important this season just like in the last. When he performs it gives his team a better chance of winning the game. He will also be looking to get revenge for the last game against Punjab. Ashwin vs Buttler a battle to watch out.
