Chelsea beat West Ham United by 2-0. Both the goals were scored by their superstar winger Eden Hazard. The win lifted Chelsea into the top four of the Premier League ahead of Arsenal and Tottenham.
West Ham United fans were left empty from Stamford Bridge handed as they lost 2-0. Belgium International Eden Hazard scored both the goals for Chelsea, scoring in 24th and 90th minute. Helping Chelsea go third in the Premier League table.
During the Chelsea vs West Ham United game at Stamford Bridge on Monday night, away fans were chanting “he’s off to Madrid”. Definitely trying to remind the Chelsea fans of the latest transfer rumours linking their Belgium star to Real Madrid.
However Hazard responded to chants from the stats after the game. He told Sky Sports,
“Now I’m just focused on Chelsea until the end of season. I want to finish in the top four and do well in the Europa League, and then we’ll see.”
Heart of the Matter.
Chelsea’s Eden Hazard has been linked with a move to Real Madrid. Especially since he has admitted a couple of times that he will be interested in joining the Spanish giants.
His contract ends next summer with the Blues after being with the club since 2012. He is highly expected to make the switch this summer as Chelsea wouldn’t like to lose him for free.
Reports of his switch have only intensified since Zidane’s return at Real Madrid. Zidane is Hazard’s idol and he has mentioned his admiration towards him before.
But Hazard has only mentioned a few times in last couple of months that he is only focused on Chelsea right now.
Chelsea are in top four battle in the Premier League, but before they have an Europa League game against Slavia Prague on Thursday.
Chelsea will be away first in their Europe League fixture before they host their Czech opponents next week.
