Tottenham vs Manchester City: Match Preview

Tottenham Hotspur will host Manchester City in the first leg of UEFA Champions League quarter-finals at their new stadium on Tuesday night.

Spurs played their first match in their newly build home stadium against Crystal Palace on Wednesday night. They won the match 2-0 after last weekends away defeat to Liverpool.

While, on the other hand, Manchester City are close to winning another trophy after beating Brighton 1-0 in their FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on Saturday. Manchester City will play Watford in the final of the FA Cup.


Tottenham Hotspur – DWWLW

Spurs is going through an inconsistent patch of form lately. They have lost to Chelsea and Liverpool in their recent games and drew against Arsenal in the Premier League. But in the Champions League they put on a brilliant performance to knock out Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester City – WWWWW

Manchester City is in great form right now. They last lost or drew a match in January against Newcastle. Since the turn of the year, they have been impeccable. Cityzens have scored 15 goals in their last five games.


Tottenham Hotspur

Erice Dier, Aurier and Eric Lamela are all out injured for Pochettino’s side. While, Llorente is doubtful for the Tuesday night fixture.

Manchester City

Zinchenko and Fabian Delph are injured for Manchester City. While Sergio Aguero is a doubtful contender for a place in the matchday squad.

Possible Outcome

It will be interesting to see what tactics both the managers will deploy. Will it be a thrilling end to end game or dull don’t concede the first kind of game.
But we certainly expect a lot of counter-attacks from both sides. We believe the game will end as a draw. City defence must keep an eye on Son.
