Liverpool will be hosting FC Porto in the first leg of UEFA Champions League quarter-finals at Anfield on Tuesday night.

Liverpool are coming back from a 3-1 away win at Southampton which helped them go top of the Premier League. Although, Man City still has a game in hand.

FC Porto also won their last game and are at the second position in the Portuguese League only on goal difference.

Form

Liverpool seems to be back in form at the right time of the season. They have beaten Bayern and Tottenham in their last five games. The win over Southampton on Friday took them above Man City in the Premier League table.

Mohammad Salah finally ended his over-hyped goal drought. The goal against Southampton will boost his confidence with team in the business end of the season.

FC Porto – WWWDW

Porto is having their own title battle in their domestic league much like Liverpool. They have been in good form lately, with only one defeat in their last 10 games. That defeat game against Benfica.

Injury/Suspensions

Liverpool

Andy Robertson will be suspended for the first leg of the quarter-final. Joe Gomez and Oxlade-Chamberlain are back in training but might not make the matchday squad.

Porto

Pepe and Hector Herrera are both suspended for the first leg while Aboubakar will be missing due to injury. Alex Telles is expected to face the Reds at Anfield.

Possible Outcome

Reds knocked out Porto last season in the round of 16 of Champions League and will be favourite to knock them out again.

Expect Klopp’s men to dominate the ball and some good wing play from both the flanks with Mane and Salah moving in the corridor.

Liverpool is expected to win the game with a cleansheet.
