Wolverhampton Wanderers have confirmed the signing of Raul Jimenez from Benfica.
Jimenez has been on loan at Wolves this season for a fee of €3m from the Portugese club Benfica. Wolves had an option to buy him at the end of the season and have activated that option.
Raul Jimenez will join the club for €38m in the summer. This transfer fee also makes Jimenez Wolves record transfer ever. His €38m transfer fee surpasses €21m transfer fee Wolves paid Adama Traore last summer.
The Mexican has been in rich vein of form for the Wolves side which were promoted to Premier League last season. He has scored 12 goals this season and providing 7 assists in his first season in English Football.
Jimenez has become an integral part of Nuno Espirito Santo’s side. His signing will prove to be a great business for the club if he continues with the form he has shown this season.
