Reports emerging from Italian media suggests that Juventus will be looking at the prospect of discussing De Ligt’s potential transfer with Ajax.
According to the reports, Juventus will make full use of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinals fixture against the Dutch club. Juventus will be discussing a potential summer transfer for the 19-year-old Ajax club captain, DeLigt.
Juventus are looking at DeLigt as successor to their captain Georgino Chiellini, who will be 35 years old in August this year. He made his debut in 2016 for Ajax and since established himself as one of an integral part of the team that knocked out Real Madrid from Champions League. DeLigt has already established himself in the Dutch international setup, enjoying a good partnership with Liverpool’s Virgil VanDijk that helped Nederlands reach the Nations League semifinals.
Signing De Ligt won’t be an easy job for the Italian giants. He is rumoured to be chased by Barcelona, PSG, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Manchester United along with Juventus. But couping DeLigt will be a tough task for Juventus. Especially considering Spanish reports that suggest Barcelona is front-runners for his signature. He is European Football’s hottest property right now.
