Borussia Dortmund’s Sporting Director Michael Zorc has insisted that Jadon Sancho won’t leave Dortmund this summer. Sancho joined Dortmund last summer from Manchester City and has been on radars of some of the European giants following a breakthrough season at Signal Iduna Park.
The 18-year old has scored 8 goals and has 10 assists in 25 Bundesliga games for Dortmund this season. Following his impressive campaign at Dortmund reports have emerged that PSG and Manchester United are plotting a bid for the English international.
However, Zorc has squashed all these rumours, saying he will not be going anywhere in the summer.
Zorc told Sport Bild,
“I’m far from putting a price tag on Jadon, but I would say that, even for the biggest club in the world, it would be hard to get his transfer through right now”,
“Jadon will play at Dortmund next season. We’re definitely planning with him.”
Zorc also discussed the club’s intention to offer Mario Gotze a new deal. Gotze has become one of the key figures of Lucien Favre’s squad.
“We’ll find the right time to talk to him about it,” Zorc said on the possibility of Gotze’s contract extension.
“His development this season has been really good. Mario was handicapped for a long time due to his metabolic problems and we gave him the time to come back.”
