After losing the second ODI by 8 runs, the Australians landed a counter punch in the penultimate game of the series to register a 32-run victory against the same opponent. The ace duo stitched a crucial 193-run stand in the opening order to take their team to a remarkable total. They also took quick wickets early in the second innings to take Australia over the line and made the tally to 2-1 in this ODI series.
India, on the other hand having lost the T20I series came back and gave tough fight for the ODI series title having finished almost all the previous matches in a turtle neck position and winning the first two in the line.
